Bridge of Hope Business Enterprise

Since the establishment of Bridge of Hope, it has accomplished its income generating activities to make the organization a self-sustaining organization, which means, the main objective of the establishment of the Income Generating Activities from the very beginning is to ultimately make the organization independent of donation, enable itself secure profits and have an adequate fund for its running costs of the children village as well us to utilize it for its community based intervention program.

The one's who were disparate and amid of dark future due to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and other problems are now full of motivation and dazzling future, those who were deprived of schooling are now opening hope for their families, communities who were in the middle of nowhere are now envisioned to care for others. All these are superior indicators for BoH's child focused transformational development.

Due to the new regulation of the Charities and Societies Agency, Bridge of Hope was required to change its Income Generating activities to a registered independent Business enterprise which will have to pay taxes and fulfil other required obligations by the revenue office. Hence, Bridge of Hope Business Enterprise has been established officially as a business enterprise since October 2012.

The enterprise consists of the following major business units:

• Bridge Magdalena Kindergarten
• Bridge Magdalena Elementary School
• Dairy Farm
• Tree and flower seedling production farm
• Wood and metal production workshop
• Tiles Production
• And Rentals (Cafeteria and Others)

Currently, the very active units are the Kindergarten, the elementary school, Dairy farm and the wood production workshop. A further assessment and study is taking place currently to do further business which will be based on the resource that we have at hand and the demand of the surrounding community.
