Prize giving Ceremony
Award for academic performance
19 Children (male 9, Female 10) who stood 1-5 in their class in 2007 Academic year were given awards. Nine outstanding boys were awarded Hand watches and ten outstanding girls were awarded 6 grams silver necklace for each girls.
Literature prize winners
Amongst nine literature competitors the best three were selected by judges and they were presented their work on the festival and finally they received an award from the hand of BoH manager. Yordanos Gebeyehu ( gender female, age 17, Grade 12) was the winner of the literature prize submitted her work in titled ‘’ friend ‘’ and Tigst Abraham (gender female, age 16, Grade 9) was the second prize winners of BoH literature contest and submitted her work written under the title of ‘’Thank to Bridge’’. Wubshet Getachew (gender male, age 17, Grade 12) was the third prize winner submitted his work written in the title ‘’ when I swarmed by my sweet’’. All literature winners were awarded and 6 grams of silver nickels were given for each girls and hand watch for the boy.
Drawing prize winners
Twelve children were participated in pictures drawing contest. Amongst ten pictures drawing competitors the best three were selected by judges and they were presented their original art picture work on the festival and their artistic drawing was visited by the festival audiences, and finally they received an award from the hand of BoH manager.
• Tamrat Setegn (gender male, age 13, Grade 6) was the winner of the drawing prize and
• Selomn Zewudu (gender male, age 17, Grade 10) was the second prize winners of the drawing prize contest.
• Temsgen Eshetu (gender male, age 16, Grade 8) was the third prize winners of the drawing prize. All the drawing prize winners were awarded hand watch.
Award Giving for Good Behaved Children in Each Home
The festival managing team together with mothers selected eight ( 4 girls and 4 boys) exemplary children who have excellent behavior in the family, in the school and in the entire BoH village, these children were awarded 6 grams of silver nickels were given for each girls and hand watch for each boys.
Children brought positive behavioral change
Three children namely Gete worku (gender female, age 15, Grade 19), Tamrat Setegn (gender male, age 13, Grade 6) Fasil Asemachew (gender male, age 16, Grade 8) were selected by festival managing team together with mothers and other children for their positive behavioral change. All of them showed positive behavioral change after they counseled and advised by the village counselor, mothers and volunteers. As result they were awarded to encourage their positive behavioral change.
Committed staff member
The festival managing Committee together with the village father selected committed loving mothers who are exemplary and real motherhood spirit W/ro Alemtsehay Asmamawu and W/ro Anley Ewunetu as committed mothers of the year 2007. They were awarded 7 grams of silver nickels.
W/ro Tabote Ayelgn one of the kitchen workers was selected as devoted worker of BoH Kitchen in the year 2007. And she is awarded 7 grams of silver nickels.
Ato Alehegn Wudu , a carpenter by profession and staff member of business enterprise was selected by festival managing Committee as children loving staff member, who assist children when they asked him to help them in hand crafts and other school assignments. He was awarded writing pad.
Ato Feleke Alemu Business enterprise manager, one of exemplary children loving staff members, was selected as committed staff member devoted his time to love and teach Village children He was awarded writing pad for his good work.
Devoted and committed teachers of the year 2007.
Three devoted teachers who assist children after school were selected as excellent teacher of the 2007 by festival managing Committee each of them were given certificate of excellence.
Prize giving for Volunteers
Volunteer service is one of the gaps feeling activities, performed by foreign and domestic nationals. The work of these people was recognized and three foreign national and one Christian volunteer from Full gospel church were given award certificate of thanks.
Prize giving for Two institutions
Two Institutions called Magdalena Academy and Kings Academy for their contribution of accommodating a number of BoH Children in their schools was awarded with certificate of recognition.
Participation in poem and literature contest
Recognition and certificate of excellence was given for 13 participants ( 6 literatures computation participants and 7 picture drawing competition participants)
Festival managing committee
Eight festival managing committee members were given for their successful work to manage the 2007 BoH Festival.
World children international literature and drawing participant
58 children who were participating in world children international literature and picture drawing contest ware received participation certificate sent from World Children. These certificate were certificate of excellence awarded to 58 BOH children on the day of Bridge festival.
Adoration of the festival
The 2007 BoH Festival was adorned by the following artistic works of BoH Children. 10 different poems including the best three winners were presented to the audience. All pictures Drawing participated in the contests were presented to the audience.
Drama under the tile of ‘’emigrant girl’’ were presented to the audience of the festival
Finally, funny foot ball game between village children and staff members were taken place and children won the game 3 - 1.
Celebration of Child Right Day
Bridge of Hope Children’s Village with the collaboration of Amahara Regional State Human Right Commission, invited guests from Gondar women youth and children social affair office celebrated the global child right day on November 16, 2015.
Awareness on child right was created to 70 BoH village children and 300 community children who are learning in Magdalena Academy.
